I just purchased a 99 disco with 103k miles, it had the head gasket replaced, runs good, of course I have the clicking sound at idle after the truck is warmed up.
I read in some other threads about trying a heavier oil.
What kind of oil should I use for my next oil change bra and and weight.

I use and recommend Shell Rotella 15w-40.
Because I also live in a cold climate I switch to Rotella 5w-40 in the winter.

X2 on the Shell Rotella recommendation. It is a great and inexpensive oil. Some people will recommend that you go with the synthetic one but I feel that it is not necessary if you change the oil every 5k miles and use a good quality oil filter, preferably the high capacity ones.
