Ome or super gaz ??

Personally I think the true test will be in 25000-30000 miles to see how much if any the Super Gaz has dropped from where it sat when first installed. I know a guy with a 96 D1 with the same OME HD kit as me and it has settled on one side since it was installed. His passenger side sits about 1" lower than the driver side. I'm really hoping I don't run into that with mine.

i can not imagine that the Super Gaz's are any less burly than the OME's. The springs I put in my trucks are massive...as are the shocks that were in the kit. They ride great, and look awesome. I have one ultimately small complain about them..it's that my D1 stands just a bit taller in the back than the front, I was thinking about some half inch spacers for the front to level it off, 'specially if i ever put a winch on.

It has taken OME over 20 years to perfect their coils. You might want to go read more about ONE's at, http://www.expeditionexchange.com/ome/indexsprings.php

i'm quite sure that OME is high quality stuff. I'm also quite sure that the springs I put in my truck are high quality.
If i get another 30,000 miles on my disco, it'll be a miracle. I bought the Super Gaz stuff because it was on sale from British Atlantic, and had free shipping. My Disco's shocks and springs were original stockers with 170k miles. I just needed something. And what I got is working spectacularly.

And, that is great for you. The problem though, is that when someone is asking for a recommendation for parts, it is better to give the best ideas to him, especially when the price is the same between a fairly new, unproven product and one that has been out and proven for a long time.
Good luck with your and why only another 30,000 miles from yours???

it's a total beater that I paid $1200 for...about the only thing that works on it is the AC, heater, and 4x4 system. I bought it only to drive it as long as I could, when it dies, I'll just park it and wait to win the Lotto so I can do a restoration on it, or maybe just wait 20 years until it turns into a retirement project.
sorry if i came across wrong..stupid internet. There are very few off road trails up here that aren't mud bogs, rock crawling is practically unheard of. So yeah, my truck is 99% on road. That's why I went with the cheaper setup.
