Watch out for used tired on Craigslist. Make sure they have even wear, and check for holes. I got some for the Caddy that were on rims already, and when I got them home, I threw the tires away. They had been plugged 27 times. the inside looked like the hair club for men. Ended up selling the rims for $250 more than I paid though. Used that to buy new tires.

My service guy tried to push the tires on our 3/4 ton and they popped coming back from Texas last night. 2 on the left side within 100 miles of each other. Now I have to find a new bed and quarter panel for it. Hold out for the new ones.... If your laptop dies, you might be off the internet for a few days, but if your tires go...... well, lets just say I might be able to catch up with you on # of posts... =)

My 97 came with Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor 255/70x16's. I get a slight rub when the wheel is turned all the way. 255's are just under a 1/2 in thicker than 245's, so don't know if they would rub.

The Wranglers have great traction in the muck and I was one of the few that could get up a long incline during our last ice storm.
