So - About a week after buying my wife her 2004 Land Rover, I finally get a call back from a guy on Craigslist I had emailed about his.
Looks like I've picked up my second Disco.
It's an '03 with 93k miles, 2" OME lift, CDL conversion, TrueTrac lockers front and rear, 4:10 gears, ARB bumper, roof rack, 9k winch, and a ton of other stuff I'm probably forgetting. Head gaskets were just done this past year, and the guy has service records for almost everything. Paid just over $4k for it, so I figured if nothing else it would be a good investment for spare parts.
Was going to build up my old Jeep for a trail rig, but I guess the Jeep is getting sold now to pay for Land Rover parts.
** edit **
Yes, the way it's built I know it's probably had a rough life, but is in surprisingly good shape. I'm expecting to have to fix a few things, but all in all this is a playtoy not a daily driver. Looking forward to learning a LOT from you guys. Cheers!
