Default Option b woes

So I decided to fix the three lights by doing option b. I found that one of the three bolts wasn't there and one of the Allen heads was stripped out I pulled the whole abs unit out and my flare wrench set did not have an 11 so I winged it and of coarse rounded off one of the brake line connectors.

What I found was that the black wabco plate had been badly replaced in the past. One bolt had the head drilled off and one was in fact stripped. I have a spare abs unit so I put the option b plate on it and will drop it in. When I pulled that spare abs unit a year ago I taped it up to keep stuff out of the holes. Was wondering if I should flush the unit out anyway. Any thoughts?

The woes of fixing other people's "fixes". The bane of my existence. Sucks to hear.

Also yes Purge the unit. Old brake fluid becomes corrosive over time when is absorbs moisture.

Yep, the joys of being a mechanic and when the conversation starts with... "yeah, l started to repair it...but ran into problems...so, l brought it to you".

Great, thanks...appreciate you thinking of me...after it's all messed up by your harbor freight tools and lack of mechanical skills.
