Seriously, you come here asking for advice and then say your aren't going to follow it?

You have a Land Rover, A vehicle that cost around $40k new.

NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO GO CHEAP ON YOUR COOLING SYSTEM!

Buy the correct upper hose with bleeder screw and get the GREY OEM 180° stat.

You will not get past go if you don't heed this advice.

If you want cheap, buy a KIA.

Thanks for the help! I to moved expansion tank to a higher level and the expansion tank hose that runs to throttle body heat plate broke, it's very brittle! Then trying trying to take cap off, it broke!! It's brand new! Got cap from autozone- guess u get what u pay for! After replacement of hose I will tow to shop and get a vaccum of my system and flush- hopefully all
Air will be out. Question is how can I tell if heater core is working properly? I hear it's hard to get to- thus so many bypass it. If having overheating problems wouldn't it be best not to bypass it? Or is that just a quick fix to get u down the road?
