Default overheating and seats questions

I have a 1994 discovery with the 3.9 liter v8. I have an overheating problem that whenever I try to haul a trailer it causes the vehicle to overheat. When I'm driving with nothing on the high temp light will come on but the temp gauge will stay in the middle. If I turn the air conditioning on it will run hot. Vehicle has 225,000 miles on it, purchased with 195,000 miles. Replaced water pump, thermostat and flushed radiator and am still having problems.

Second question: will the seats of a 2000 landrover discovery fit in the '94? I want to put power seats in my '94 and am wondering if the plugs for power seats are there under the console in the '94. My front seats are trashed and I want to upgrade.

Sounds like your electric cooling fans aren't running, I would check you mechanical clutch and see if it is about gone.

No the seats from a DII will not fit.

Back wash the radiator, take your garden hose and spray from the inside of the radiator towards the front of the truck to rinse out any debris.
Check and make suer that your electric fans are running and see if your fan clutch is bad.
Next time the engine is hot like that open the hood and then have a friend shut it off, does the fan free spin for a few seconds or stop with the engine?
