Usually around here "OP" = original post, "PO" = previous owner, "codes" can be something that turned on the CEL or MIL, or "pending" ones that have happened, but need to happen again before turning on the light. The factory ECU manual will give more details on ones that can have "pending" status. Some Rovers before 96 had an underseat two digit display of OBDI codes.

So the front O2 probes have been changed with new, while they were out I bore scoped the cats, both looked perfect. First tank of fuel yielded 13 mpg highway, not great but still an improvement. Going to replace the MAF sensor next, don't like the look of it, can't get the thing completely clean. Any other thoughts on this one?
The ECU works like your caller ID, it continually adjusts and re-learns over the last ~400 miles driven, so if there was a fault and you drove for awhile with it you need to drive until that corrected fault is re-learned by the ECU.
Make sense?
So before you do anything else drive it for a week or two.
As a general rule it takes 3 tanks of gas to re-learn.

Ok, going to give it a few more tanks. There were never any codes except for my 3 amigos SVS codes which i have not got around to fixing yet. Round trip Wilmington to Scranton last night- 22.6 galls, for 15.48 MPG, not bad! Better than any recent mileage figures, looks like the O2 probes were my offenders! Thanks all, at 92000 miles and without throwing codes, you think changing the MAF might still be prudent? Figure I'll do it during CPS change.
