P0304 Woes
about 3 months ago I had a shop replace head gaskets and have the heads reworked and machined. I had a lot going on and didnt have the time. Needless to say dump some cash I didn't want to dump.
Now I'm getting a P0304 error and sometimes P0300 shows up with it. Definitely driving rough.
Crazy coincidence, this started happening right after I fixed the XYZ switch. Literally either the same day or the next day.
I hooked up the torque app and noticed that my temps were staying up around 208 to 212. Usually stayed around 190 with my 180 TStat in it.
Since the head gasket repair was under warranty, and thinking I am getting some coolant in cyl 4 I didn't even mess with it and had it towed to the shop.
They call me back saying there is definitely something going on internally and they are going to tear it apart.
BUT, instead of saying something like maybe we messed up with the head gasket repair, he immediately started saying that there is probably a crack in the block they missed. REALLY, it went 3 months on a cracked block. This is a 3 year old Cannibal Engine, back before they started having problems.
Any idea what I can look for to call BS if they try to comeback and say it is a cracked block?

My P0304 was the wire being damaged. It routes under the A/C PAS bracket. It seems mysterious with everything assembled, but it just goes under and around.
The shop that did my head gaskets years ago gave me the cracked block line.
