Default P0332 knock sensor low voltage

Guys I need help. I recently came across a code p0332. And found that the wires to the knock sensor connector burnt. Upon peeling the wires back I found that the harness two wires go back into a single wire. Rave says its 2 wires but I can't seem to find the other one.Using premium fuel and changed the sensors over so I know it's not the sensor. Any help is appreciated. Btw the truck won't pass emissions w/o the code being gone. Let me know.

Ok guys fixed the problem thanks to savannah buzz. I peeled the shielding back on the coax cable. I then crimped a connector to that shielding and tied both sides of the damaged wires together. I then crimped connectors to the inside wires and connected them via crimped wire. No more codes! I'll post pics later.

Yes...

This is a shielded wire and the shield needs to be intact for a valid signal to pass to the computer.

I ended up getting a replacement wire out of a recycled harness to replace the entire wire once it was pinched and compromised. Tried it for a bit with a solder job but it kept throwing codes.

Very sensitive it is.

Sorry but you need to make sure that you splice the shielded to the shielded and the wire under the the other one under. Otherwise you will keep getting that code. I just used 2 separate wires to make it work.
