P0455: What am I supposed to do?...
Just to chime in here.
I had the purge valve code for a while. About 2 months ago, I took the hoses off the valve and sprayed it out with electrical cleaner. No codes since.
I did this same "fix" on the purge valve on the porsche this past weekend, and it cleared that code as well.

I have a few auto parts chains in my city and the only one that had it in stock was Autozone for 38.99. Dorman 911-800. More than online but instant gratification. Also, they have a lifetime warranty and at least autozone records it by telephone number.
And here I thought the Rover Gods were looking out for me.. light came back on today. Looks like the next step is to blow out the hose and then if that doesn't work I'll just change out the dang valve. Glad I have a copy of the RAVE!!
I sprayed the inside of mine and it came back too, but it worked ok on a P38 I owned previously. One of the issues is that we are spraying cleaner into a closed valve. I am going to force some cleaner through it under pressure while I trigger the solenoid and see if that works. I have it all apart anyway. I'm going to force injector cleaner through the injectors also in the same manner. I use a pump sprayer setup. I've used one for cleaning injectors, bleeding brakes and a bunch of other little tasks. They are also good for filling gearboxes, differentials, transfer cases, transmissions, etc. I even used one to build a leak tester for rock anchor holes we drilled on a dam renovation project. Pump sprayers are way more useful than the manufacturers seem to know. All for like $10.
So far so good. I have only driven one full tank of gas on it, but no Check engine light. So another good positive outcome.
A full tank should have triggered a code if there was still a problem. At least, mine didn't take very long to throw a code. Congratulations!
