Default P0741....need cure.....

I have a very very serious problem with a DII (130k miles ) I am working on.

Back in May 2009, the owner took it to a local shop and had them change the tranny filter because it was "slipping"
The owner told me it kept doing the same thing after wards so I suggested that perhaps the local shop didnt properly refill it so it may be low.

So I drained it, came out sort of dark dark dark red/brown but no burnt smell. refilled it and went for a drive. i have done this procedure about 5 times on 4 different DII's. (mine was twice)

So i jumped in it, put it in Reverse and gave it gas and I went no where while the RPM's went to about 2000 before engaging and driving backwards.

Then I put it in Drive and same thing; goes no where and revs high before engaging.

During the drive it simulated a manual transmission every time i let off the gas to let it coast it kept that gear and just slowed down. During the coasting it kept the rpms high as opposed to dropping like normal. Then giving gas it doesn't accelerate until it revs again and then "catches".

Switching to Sport mode made no apparent difference.

It has only had spark plugs replaced within the last year. no other engine related maintenance except for seafoam treatment I did to locate an exhaust leak it recently had which i since fixed.

ABS Codes: 4045: Rear Left Sensor Output Low Air Gap Too Large
4046: Front Left Sensor Output Low
4066: Front Left Sensor Electric Fail
4085: Rear Left Sensor Intermittent sensor out put during driving, broken wire.
4086: Front Left Sensor Intermittent sensor out put during driving, broken wire.
4114: Shuttle Valve Switch Electrical Failure
(New front hubs took care of the ABS codes btw except for the 4114)

I think this was a case of NO transmission maintenance.

Any thoughts??

I think I'd drop the pan to make sure all is in place. That would probably be my first step after what you already done. Then, although not normally recommended, tranny flush and refill with proper atf fluid. I'd recommended Mobil 1 ATF like I did to mine, but it would be a shame if the problem wasn't fixed and you have to drop the pan again
