Default P0748 code and occasional odd shift

Scanned my system for codes after a few odd shifts 3-4 seemed to hiccup and there was a quick buck. No M S lights or any other indications. Can anyone shed any light on this code?

Don't know about the code, but a MAF sensor affects shifting. When mine was bad, it would not shift into 4th unless I hit 50+ mph and let off the gas quickly.

The code is a transmission code as I stated above

Is this the first time the code has come up? Any history with the vehicle? It looks like its going to be a likely wiring short, bad TCU, or bad solenoid in the tranny.

Clear the code, see if it returns.

If it does, you're gonna have to spend some time checking connectors and voltages

DTC P0748
Pressure regulator check (S/C to +12V).

Possible causes by suggested order of priority:
^ C193/53 (OLG) shorted to +12V.
^ ECU fault.

C193/53 (OLG) Shorted to +12V.
CHECK THE FOLLOWING:
^ C193/53 (OLG) shorted to +12V.
^ Disconnect EAT C193 before measuring voltage between C193/53 (OLG) and vehicle earth.
ACCEPTABLE RESULTS
^ Between 0.0 V and 4.0 V.
DIAGNOSTIC HINTS
^ If the voltage is above the acceptable range check the harness connected to C193/53 (OLG) for short circuit to +12V.

ECU Fault.
CHECK THE FOLLOWING:
^ Ensure that the check for short to +12V has been carried out.
^ Check transmission ECU by substitution with a known good unit.
POSSIBLE FAULTS
^ Faulty transmission ECU.

thanks. Yes I plan to start at the wiring connectors. I've cleared the code and will check daily as it didn't throw a warning light.
