Ok everyone- I am not good with repairing cars, so I figured I would ask for suggestions. I just had the MAF replaced and the o2 sensor as well. I have not even driven 100 miles and the misfire started again with flashing CEL and then when I had the codes tested it said, p 1300. Any suggestions??
2004 disco, Replaced engine that only has 30,000 miles, but the odometer says 91,256.

 

Mis fires cause O2 codes, always start with a tune up, always.

 

I have a warranty, could I see if that would help? I know a tune up is probably not covered, right?

 

Odds are a tune up is not covered.
They should have done one when they put the engine in, but if they used cheap wires it is more than possible they are bad already.
Read the warranty fine print and see what is covered.

 

If I dont get a tune up right away, can I be causing extra damage? After all of these last few fixes, I can't afford a tune up right away. Thanks for all your help.

 

Why not work on it yourself?
A DIY tune up is $100 and a few hours time.

If the check engine light is flashing then no, you cannot drive it, if the check engine light is just on steady then yes, you can drive it.
Just because the idle is rough does not mean you cannot drive it, but a flashing check engine light does.

 

The light flashed like three times and then it went to a steady on so I should be good for a little bit. The do it yourself option sounds like a good idea. Can you please recommend what to buy? Thanks

 

Look up in the sticky at top of page for a list of disco mikes tune up/maintenance perform the things you can afford as soon as possible.

 

What color are your plug wires and do you have any other codes?
I agree, go buy some 8 mm STI or Magencor silicone wires and a good set of plus and give it at least the basic tune and see where this takes you.
