Default P38 - D2 front rotors interchange?

Searched but couldn't find an answer -

I know the rears seem to be interchangeable. I assume the fronts are too (same axles/carriers right?). Turned my friend onto a stellar deal for some rotors for his '04 that I'd put on my RR, but now am second guessing myself.

Not sure, I got a set of New EBC rotors from a guy that said were ordered for D1, but he ordered wrong ones(for D2), and would not fit.

Did a quick check on part numbers and the rears were the same numbers but fronts are different.... can't always go just by part numbers but the front rotors are in doubt in my mind...

How weird, it was the rear rotors that i purchased, and the ones, he said would not fit.

looking on the EBC website (rear) 95-98 have 11.4" diameter, 99-04 have 11.7" diameter rotors, and have different part numbers
the front both have 11.7" diameter, but have different part numbers.
