Default Panhard bar conversions Q's

Watts bushings are toast in my '04... I have the stock Watts linkage with the TF 2" springs. I would like to go a little bigger down the road (4" lift maybe?)
Whats the deal with building a panhard bar now, and then lifting it more after the fact? I assume thats not ideal? Anyone welded on the axle tube with the axle still assembled and full of fluid? Any tube warping issues? Whos kit did you use? I do like how long Dusty's... errr... bar is

No deal, just do it. The panhard kit from ruffstuff is adjustable, so you make it to suit your vehicle height, then make it longer when you lift it and the difference is minimal. You can weld while it's full of gear oil without issue, no tube warping issue.

Do it just like Dusty, I suggested he did it that way after mine was done on the inside of the spring. If I did it again it'd be on the outside of the spring. Enjoy!

pho sho. Texas...you know everything is bigger.....no more bind, no more noise. no issues with install. quick and easy.

I re routed my exhaust, back there, but I dunno if it would be of issue anyway. I think Z just left his in stock configuration.

No real need to, but Dusty just goes over the top all the time.

OK- RuffStuff bar ordered, outer frame mount with offset axle mount. I dont want to just weld it on and go though... Id like to make sure that my roll center remains somewhat close to where it should be. Also wondering about whether the frame mount should be on the same side front and rear or opposite? Any suspension gurus out there?

I have been selling D1 CDL shifter conversions and D1 Panhard bars to an off road shop. Everytime they buy a CDL conversion they buy a Panhard rod.

I did some searching and found on an Australian LR forum that D2 guys are using the D1 Panhard rod when the do a 4-5" lift. Apparently the D1 rod is longer then the D2 and perfect for that amount of lift.

Can anybody confirm?

D1s had a beautiful rear link setup, no need for a panhard back there.

You just need to match your current setup with the new rod. You can adjust it longer or shorter after installing.
