Passenger side wiper arm
I have a 2003 Discovery. Today, while driving in an ice/snow storm the passenger wiper arm suddenly stopped working. When I got home, I cleaned up the area and discovered that the arm appears to be loose. In other words, when in the off position, it does not stop at the bottom of the windshield where it should, it slides down past the point the other arm stops at and can be wiggled back and forth. When I put the wipers on, you can see it twitching like it wants to move. I am not very mechanical, but it seems like whatever keeps it in place is loose or has slipped off of the back of the assembly that holds the arm on the windshield. I cannot get to the back of the arm assembly as there is a thin piece of plastic that goes along the entire length of the bottom of the windshield. Is it possible to remove this and could this be the problem? Any help would be appreciated. We are in the middle of some nasty weather and I need the wipers, although I guess I'm lucky the drivers side is still working.
Thanks,
John
Thanks,

Pop the cover off at the bottom of the arm on the outside, there is a nut that holds the arm to the wiper motor, move the arm to where it needs to be and then tighten the nut, replace cover.
Check the other side too.
