Default will a 99 gas tank fit a 95 D1?

Have a mysteriously new hole in the gas tank.. will a 99 D2 tank fit a 95 D1

I would have to say no. If it was a 99 DI then yes, but because it is a DII then no.

Was your tank on the old gas tank recall list, was it ever replaced, if not, this might be the time to do it.

No it will not fit,, you have Pre Advanced Evap,,
and that only ran to early 1996.

Good call Mike, thanks. Is there a range of VIN numbers that were "bad". Is this a recallin whichrover will cover the cost?

Call your local dealer and talk with the service manager, give him your vin, he can tell you if you were on the recall list.
