PCV Valve Cleaning/Replacement
#41
Highly recommend to do the Best4x4 PCV mod listed here: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...4x4-mod-92942/
At the age these trucks are at, the plastic pieces inside the valve covers have become clogged and very brittle. I purchased the Sankei KP-111 from NAPA in the PCV mod thread and have not had any issues in the year it's been in. Don't do what I did and keep the driver-side plastic baffle in (which I got a new one for as the old one was clogged and brittle). I think that caused a crankcase overpressure issue I experienced and popped the front main seal out and against the crankshaft pulley. Remove both of the plastic pieces
Edit: @Best4x4 , you beat me to it.

I did the PCV mod and it was really easy. Just be careful when you work on the valve cover end. The connector is pressed into the valve cover and with a few wiggles and a pull, should come right out, Removing the plastic spiral inside of the vent tube was a bit tricky for me but I did drill it out. Take your time and you'll be successful!
