Peak Global Lifetime in D2
True. But it does say "compatible with all types of coolant", including OAT (Dex). So in theory it should be compatible, right? Unless they are clearly lying on their labels.
I did same thing just topping the coolant. In time, now its all green. I can see the green stuff all over the driveway. Means, it all ok!
Brad, Its all ok. You can use it with all makes and color of coolant. In my case with the leak. Mine, I can say is a controlled leak. LOL! Every time I fix the leak, it will leak somewhere anyway. Part of my maintenance routine. Better where I can see the leak for now. hehe Mine is notorious to leak. If its not oil, its coolant and if not coolant its air. But, I rather not use those stop leak. IMHO

So if it is ok to top off the yellow Peak Global with other colors, can I top it off with Peak long life green concentrate to get closer to the 50/50 mix? Right now I calculated it to be about 20-25% antifreeze.
That is possible but why make it bit complicated with the ratio, Just get all 50/50 mix and pour it in. I had dex directly to green until it all turns green in time. It says on the cover, can be mixed with any colors and make. My son once pour concentrate without mixing with water in our jeep classic XJ and still going. Well, you wont kill a Jeep (300k miles). LOL! Just to be safe, just top it off with the 50/50. IMO
OK, I can't figure out how/why people buy pre-mixed 50/50 coolant. A gallon of pure coolant is about $11. A gallon of 50/50 is about $9. The 50/50 is half water, so for almost the same price, you only get 1/2 the coolant pre-mixed.
Am I missing something? Why would people pay for water?
