Default Performance accessories for 2003-04 Disco

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to buy a 2004 D2 and what performance accessories I can get that actually work, besides all of the performance chip stuff which I've read is bull****

You can tow it behind a turbo diesel pickup.

Basically nothing you can do. Achieving anything significant over stock numbers will probably cost you more than it's worth. That would entail motor/mechanical work. Most of the issues discussed on the forum are repair/restoration related or how to prevent over heating, better thermostats, bigger fans, etc. Basically preventative stuff. However if you had the money I believe Turner engineering makes a 5.0 liter motor designed for the D2. A diesel would also be a good way to go. Torque>HP and the Discovery puts up decent torque numbers, you don't want to get too crazy with HP because the transmission won't be able to handle it.

You might be able to get a good after market air filter but I've never looked into those.

There really is nothing you can do other than rebuild the whole engine and bore and stroke it along with a new ECU.
