No, in the future, you might want to find out what a part is so you won't damage something.
The idle control unit will not cause a 441, which is an incorrect purge flow fault for the evap system or the 1590 which is because your 3 Amigos are on.
Do you know how to clean your throttle body and the idle control unit? If so I would do that and see if you can save having to replace it.

Mike I have a handle on cleaning the throttle body but, how do you clean the Idle control unit? and - is it required? like whenever you clean the T.B.

Thanks

Before I tore my engine apart, my IAC was making all kinds of terrible noise. I took it off, and cleaned it with carb cleaner. I made sure the little straw pointed on the inside and kept spraying until the cleaner ran clear. Fixed the problem too, now it's quiet as could be.

What kind of noise does a dirty IAC make? I'm hunting down a loud squeal.

Is it required, maybe not, especially if a driver is not to mechanical and doesn't pay any attention to how his truck runs.
Cleaning it, along with the t/body, will make for a smoother idle and a more responsive exceleration.

Mine sounded was buzzing, and humming, and sounded like a fan motor that was running dry.
