Default What's this part called?

What is the bar on the front axle called, the one highlighted in yellow on the back side?
And where can I get another one, preferable straight

Track rod, or in normal speak, tie rod.

Do you want a stock replacement, or a stronger one? That'll determine from whom to buy one.

Ah so I was right, the dumbass I was speaking to said there is no track rod on the disco.
I guess I'm looking for something stronger than stock, mine was taken out by a rock and bent about an inch out of straight.

I thought that was the drag link assembly. The track rod, panhard bar is something different that attaches to the diff.

If you have the Rave manual look up the Front Suspension and steering. I do not see this on the breakdown. There is a Panhard Rod and a drag link. Your attachment differs from the Rave. Good luck, make sure you have made a positive description of the part otherwise you might order something else at a hefty expense.

The drag link attaches from the steering box drop arm to the arm on the steering knuckle (on a DII) or the swivel housing (on a D1).
The track rod connects the two steering knuckles (DII) or the two swivel ball housings (D1).

What you have highlighted in yellow is the track rod.
As for where to get one, if you don't want the HD ones above:

third item down.

The panhard rod has nothing to do with steering, it centers the axle in relation to the chassis.

That's what I thought, I always thought the track rod was just another name for the panhard? That's why I was confused. I don't remember where, but I thought LR called the part in yellow the drag link assembly. I had it in a parts book somewhere. Pretty sure it had the tie rod ends and everything on it.

Good luck hunting it down I'd just go with those heavy duty ones someone posted. Probably cheaper than factory anyway.

On some other cars the panhard rod is called a track bar, so that's probably what you were thinking of.

After shopping around a bit I decided to bend my track rod straight and slap it back on. It is almost perfectly straight again, I bet the wheel alignment is almost correct again. It will most probably get banged up some more, but at least it will straighten out with a bit of muscle power. I need to replace the TREs because the ball joints are done for, so I definitely will shop for a new HD set sometime.... just not now otherwise the wife is going to wrap that darn thing around my neck.
