Decided to change the way i had my rear view camera powered. Previously, I had the camera powered by the reverse light, but the head unit has the option to view the rear view camera while driving(in case you want to check on the trailer you are pulling). Looking for switched power in the rear, I came up with one option, that is tapping into the aux power plug behind the passenger seat. Pretty short distance to the camera power lead i ran up behind the left rear tail light. Now the camera powers up when i start up the vehicle, not only when in reverse. The head unit is connected to the reverse wire and switches automatically when in reverse, Camera view option can be picked at any time to view what is behind you.
