So guys, I expect to leave for an around the world trip in a couple of years... Do you think it's doable with the d2 td5?

Defenders are so 'cliche' for that...

 

Definitely doable. Carry a filter to filter your fuel as you out it in the tank because diesel in 3rd world countries can be iffy. Hell, I was planning to do it with a V8 D2. Still would like to in a few years. Just he sure to carry extra parts that commonly break and a lot of tools.

Finding pontoons and prop shafts that work/fit well may be an issue.

Such a trip is doable but completion would be dependent upon much planning, size of wallets, and more than just the LR Gods looking after those traveling.

Let me know if well experienced co-driver/mechanic/technician is needed.
