Default Plasti Dipped my DII in camo green.... w/ rattle cans

I just finished Plasti-Dipping my entire DII in camo green. I had bad peeling clear coat issues everywhere so decided to give it a shot. The whole truck cost $120 to do (12 camo green cans for $72, plus surface prep cleaner, painters tape, misc masking materials). This was better financially than a $2200 vinyl wrap job or $2900 paint job which were quotes that I got before going with PDip.

I had to use rattle cans to do it since PlastiDip gallons are illegal and not available for purchase here in California but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out considering this is my first time plasti dipping an entire vehicle with rattle cans. It definitely looks better than the clear coat peeling tiger stripe look before I did it.

I'm in HB, if you need any parts or some Autologic service(Code remote/Three amigo diagnostics, etc.) Hit me up.

Looks great, I have been watching youtube for techniques to do a vinyl wrap, but the plastic dip is tempting.

Please keep us posted over the next few months on how it wears.

I've seen Plasti-Dip last for years when prepped properly. Looks great!

Thanks Redduc! It took 3 hours total but would have been less except my dog got out and in the garage and jumped on the passenger's side door while it was curing so I had to peel it off and redo it. lol

That's amazing. Seriously. I can't even muster my usual exclamation marks because that is. Simply. Amazing.

I plastidipped my wheels a year ago despite the guidance that it would come off and it never has. I bet that lasts a long time.
