PLEASE HELP DISCOVERY ON THE BLINK
HI EVERYONE PLEASE CAN YOU HELP
I AM A DISCOVERY 2002 TD5 I AM STARTING BUT CUTTING OUT NEARLY STRIAGHT AWAY[:@] THEN I TURN OVER FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS OR SO AND START

IT SOUNDS LIKE NO FUEL IS COMING THROUGH THEN OUT OF THE BLUE I START ??IT CAN HAPPEN WHEN I AM COLD OR BEEN ON A RUN?? I HAVE BEEN SERVICED REGULAR CAN ANY ONE HELP

I would agree with Mike's comment, but I would say just in thinking about your situation that your fuel pump might be on the blink. Seems like the first time you start it it cranks over using the fuel that's already in the lines near the engine then the pump doesn't supply enough so it dies but it does provide a little bit in the line. Then the next time you start it's built up enough pressure to get the fuel in there and the vacuum on the fuel supply assists the pump in getting it there enough to keep the engine running. Either that or if your truck has a fuel filter at all, it could be very clogged (but you did say you've serviced it regularly - did they ever replace the fuel filter assuming it has one?)
