Question Plug wire question

Hi all,

Quick question...I am having trouble getting the wires to snap into the coil packs. in the past on other vehicles it has been fairly straight forward and easy. Any wisdom would be much appreciated.

Which wires did you get?

Edit - ha, nevermind...just read your Sig

Are you sure you have the right right wires for your year...1st time for me they sent me wires for a 97 D1, but they were labeled on the box as being for an 04 D2...the coil ends won't click into a D2 coil pack no matter how much you try...ask me how I know...ugh...

Smile Plug wires

Thanks for the reply. Yes, they are the correct ones... just have to jiggle them quite a bit. doing the wires with the plenum on... tight working... Have 2nd wire on. Laying on top of engine... seems the best way to do it. grabbing a drink and headed back out for number 3.

Yup, that's about the best way to do them...slow and steady and 1 at a time...the more PO'ed you get the the harder it is...good luck to you.

Talking

Whew,

Finely done and no more codes showing up. I figured out why it took so long. The STI wires didn't have the little ceramic donuts on the end that... ummm.... ummmm... darn I'm tired, cant think, and i have to be on the road at 0430... plugs into coil pack. hence it took a bunch longer. I will know next time. Thanks for all of you checking my post and sharing in my misery.

Cheers

You always pull all the wires before install new ones, then from the passenger side start installing the lower wire from the drivers side back to the passenger side, then do the same with the top row.
