Plugs Wires
I have a 2003 Discovery with 76,000 miles. Should my plug wires be replace this soon? I have a miss while driving. I was told that my coil pack needs replacing and I need plugs and wire. The misfire is on (2358) coil. So I know the coil pack is bad, What about the plugs and wires?
Thanks, Soupdogg

Yes, do it all at once. Rovers eat plug wires, you will be lucky to get 60,000 miles.
When you have them replaced you must use either Land Rover wires or better yet Magnecor plug wires.
You can get either at www.atlanticbritish.com.

Replace the plugs and wires first. Hold off on the coil pack. It is possible the bad wires could cause a faulty reading on the coil pack itself. Just replace parts one at a time (new wires all at once, not one by one) instead of throwing money at it.

Soupdog,
exactly what codes did you get, especially for the coil, I wouldn't buy it till you check into it more.
As for the plug wires, 8mm Magnacor only, no Rover wires at twice the price.
Get back to us with the fault codes.
