Default Positive Battery Cable Kit Problems (Atlantic British Kit)

Hi all,

I ordered the Positive Battery Cable Repair Kit from AB.

https://www.roverparts.com/electrica...ry/YSB108490K/

It seems like the screw is way to short to actually hold the leads is way too short to thread into the clamp. Not even a complete thread is exposed. Am I messing something up?

Thanks!

Are you sure that the washer is supposed to be there?

Well that worked. Thanks! Didn't thread that much in there but hopefully it stays. At least I was able pull the truck out the driveway so my wife can go to work tomorrow.

@Jason_B sounds like those are too short, you should be able to source a replacement at any decent hardware store

Thanks!

@Richard Gallant Any concerns about the type of metal or needing it to be plated since it is for the positive cables?

@Jason_B any conductive metal will work, I usually use stainless but that is just what I like
