Default possible AC leak

So I think I have a leaky seal around the ac unit for my 2002 discovery II. When I use the AC water drips along the side on the passanger side and pools in the floorboard. My questins are these - photo attached: Is this the ac compressor? Is this item easy to replace myself? (sort of a tight area.) Would this be a warentable item with an extended warrenty?

Thanx in advance.

You need to unclog your AC drains. Search for pics of where they are underneath your truck.

You dont have a leak, you are overflowing.

Crawl under the truck and look for two nipples, one on either side of the transmission in the bell housing area.
Wearing goggles and a old shirt squeeze them and maybe use some pipe cleaner to ream them out.
Do this every spring, or every 6 months is you live where it is hot.

the top of the drain is the little rubber accordian tube in the bottom right of the pic. I had to take mine off totally and clear them, but start under the truck.

Also, be prepared for water to come down on you...

Many thanks. I actually found the plug yesterday, but it was way to hot to reach up to unplug.

Remember, there are two plugs, one on either side of the transmission tunnel. If you found one, the other one should be in roughly the same place on the other side of the car. Clen them both out while you're underneath.

Yep, found em both. Waited till the car cooled off and was able to reach my hand up inside. Worked like a charm. Thanks.
