Default Possible Cause for TC Light to Stay on?

The Traction Control (TC) light comes on a few seconds after I start my vehicle.

I took it to a gravel road and was able to test the traction control, which seems to be working fine.

Does this light throw a code? Has this happened to anyone else?

About 10 days.

I figured (and still do) that the light was thrown on a glitch since the system is still responsive. I had planned to do some wrenching on the girl this weekend so I'm taking opinions on it.

69,XXX miles.
