Default Possible vacuum leak. Disco 2.

Hello all. I have an 03 Disco 2 I bought about a year ago that had that ticking sound going on. Loud as heck but truck always started and drove so I figured I would drive it till it dies. Anyways I love the truck and a few months ago decided to finally give it the service it needed. (valve cover gaskets, new plugs and wires, throttle body gasket and heater plate. etc) after the job was done she started right up but when you put it in drive the engine would just stall out. after I double checked all the work I did the only thing I can find is this little nipple connected to a vacuum hose that looks worn out that is near the throttle body. Sprayed carb cleaner around it while engine was running and it stalled the engine. The car is now able to go in gear without immediately dying as long as you slam the gas. truck has almost no acceleration. Starts right up and even the ticking sound sounds significantly quieter than before. Am I on the right track assuming that this is a vacuum leak? I just want to drive my truck again it has been a few months without it and I'm having all these weird dreams about it working.
