Default Power to the roof rack?

If I decide to put lights on my roof rack, how are you all getting it there?

I ran the wiring to the back and just have it go into the truck thru the rear door in the upper right corner. Than I have a plug in the plastic cover in the rear.

Up the inside of the A pillar, above the headliner, through the roof into the roof bar, then out the bar on the underside so water can't enter.

From a power source under the hood, run the wires under the black plastic cover on the A pillar to the rack. No need to drill a hole in your roof.

To add onto the a-pillar suggestion, I used Ancor Marine 10awg duplex wire (two 10 awg wires bonded together https://www.westmarine.com/buy/ancor...09_274_003_002). This stuff is rigid enough on its own to snake behind the pillar without removing the pillar or having to rig up a steel wire to piggyback the wire through. Easy peasy. That cable powers my LED bar

I also have two of these: https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-cord-grips/=1aado06 on my roof.
One is a 7-wire trailer cable. One wire is routed to a negative ground bus on the roof rack, leaving me 6 separate power wires to do whatever I want up there. This way, you drill the roof once to accommodate any future accessories. At the moment, I just have rack mounted backup lights.

Second is a 2x 10 awg gland for the solar panels.
