Power Seat Issue
Well ok I know the problem just don't know how to do this with ease. The power motor works fine but the connecting cable from the motor to the other side has popped out and can not get it back in. is there a n easy trick to this?
Not sure what you mean by popped out, are you talking about the electrical connection? You can remove the 4 bolts holding the seat down and tilt the seat back to gain better access. The plastic molding around the seat bottom comes out with 3 screws.
yeah, the flex drive cable inside the tube, Should not fall out. Perhaps, a seat track is frozen, or way out of sync, or the gearbox failed on one side, and the cable torqued it's way off....The motor can also rock a bit in its mount. Check that as well. Both tracks need to be lined up at the worm rod mount bolt with equal number of threads from front end of rod (not the seat frame mount bolts). If you see any 6mm or so stainless ***** on the ground, it's a bad sign for the track.....
Seat is easiest to remove when seat back is folded forward beyond vertical....Undo all the bolts, lean whole seat back so you can get to the bottom, undo the connectors, then lean whole seat back up and swing it out the front door...Be sure to unhook connectors first, including the yellow and black little ones, so you don't yank them apart...
Take the seat out and then check everything.
Undo the worm rod bolts and slide the tracks, see if they are free.
