Default Power steering

Just a quick question.. How hard is it for you to turn your steering wheel? Mine is not difficult at all really, but it is a lot more 'stickier' than it was in my last vehicle (2005 GMC Sierra)...

Is there a way to make it easier to turn? Fluid seems to be full, belts have been changed.. or is it just normal for the wheel to be a little more stiff?

Big difference between a GMC and a Rover and you have found one of them.
No, there is no fix for it other then keeping fresh fluid in it every 20,000 miles.

anyone know the size of the fitting on the side of the power steering pump that goes to steering box? i believe its a flare fitting. On a pump change i should be able to remove old fitting to put on new pump? no?

I just had my power steering pump and low pressure hose replaced. And now I can turn my wheel with one finger. The thing I noticed is that over time the entire system starts to get a bit clogged up, so just topping it off won't really fix that problem. A fluid flush might help your steering become more responsive. But I will warn you... this isn't a cheap thing to do... But still worth it in my opinion.
