Default Power Steering Ghosts

So have a 03 DII and just got done replacing my Power Steering Pump and bled the system out. When I started and backed out the drive way worked like a champ and did a couple of miles. Today I took it on the highway and noticed that it was real stiff going down the highway but it seemed to go away. When I got downtown I noticed that when I stop at a stop light the pump seems to not work at all. Then as soon as I hit the gas it seems that the pressure builds back up and it works like a charm again. So now when I start up it works like a champ but after driving straight for a while it seems to shut off. I am not getting any noise from the pump and it feels like the pump is not working at all for a while then it kicks back in. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and have a great day.

Was this a new if so what brand, rebuilt or used pump that you installed? Also what fluid did you use?
