Default Power Steering help Please!

I have an 04 disco and have had a leak in the power steering area. The previous owner had tried to rig the hose coming out of the bottom with an extra clamp and that didn't do any good so I took it off cut a 1/4 in off the hose and put a real hose clamp on it and it still leaks just the same. I've read on here that the pump will leak from the gasket that is really nothing other than paper. My question is should I just pull the pump and use gasket maker, do I need to put a replacement gasket in it or do you think it is leaking from somewhere else. The one hose I cango see ing in the drivers side isn't leaking but I can't see the other. Any help would be appreciated!

There is a fitting on the pressure hose on the side of the pump, but just a clamp where the hose goes over a 5/8"ish nipple on the return side (bottom of the pump). I just verified this with the PAS pump still sitting on the driveway by the garage door from when I changed mine out a few weeks ago.
