Default Power steering hose-HELP.

MAssive leak appeared overnight. I finally got around to checking it out today. After removing the air hose assembly, I still could not see where it was coming from. I put my hand up and under the steering pump and voila-the cheapo factory clamp has failed . the fluid is leaking out of where the resevoir hose meets the pump. Now the problem. After TWO hours trying to get the clamp off I am defeated. There is ZERO access to that area. I have been working with a small mirror and pliers and snips. About a two inch by five inch area to work in and no visual access to where the hose meets the pump. There is no access from under the car because of the plastic cover that protects the underside of the engine. I bought the .99 clamp and am inches away from saving myself major $$$$$ by having to take it somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can cut off-remove the old clamp!!!!!!!???????????

thanks,

aaron

Remove the PAS reservoir and lift it up out to where you can work on it.
Is the old clamp just laying there or is it still attached to the reservoir?
If the old clamp is "flopping around" you can just leave it out of the way and put in the new clamp.
I have not seen this area so I am just trying to shoot in the dark and give a few idea's.

The hose clamp in question is holding the hose to the pump, not the reservoir side.

You may find you will have to remove most of the front of the engine, fan shroud, fan, belt and whatever else you need to to get to the hose. It is a pain in the *** but a shop may charge you an easy $200 plus.
