Default Power Steering Pressure Specs?

I've got my '03 D2 power steering woes narrowed down to either a belt tension issue (have a new belt and tensioner and pulleys installed, so that shouldn't be it) or a bipass issue somewhere in the power steering system. I can get ahold of a pressure tester for about $80. What I don't know is the pressure specs for the system. Anybody have that, handy?

Thank you.

It took three different sources to finally put together the complete power steering testing tool shown above, (and about $300), but I've got one. The pump tested perfect (At idle it needed to be under 100, it was at 60.) (Full left and right need to be between 300 and 900, they both read at 550.) (And, amazingly enough, with the testing valve closed that little pump is generating almost 1500 lbs of pressure).

The reman gearbox I got off ebay must be the culprit. They are sending me another one. No help in sight for the $500 I need to have my mechanic pull the faulty gearbox and install another one.

19. With the engine at idle, slowly turn the steering
wheel and hold on full lock.

22. Test pressure should be between 21 and 62
bar, (300 to 900) psi. Dependant on road
surface.
Don't forget to test when parked on a road. Garage or driveway surface may yield different results?

Really, why the surface make any difference once on full lock? Tech writer must have had one too many at lunch that day.

Thanks, don't remember reading of others doing the pressure check before. Good luck with the gearbox.
