Default Power Steering Pump Bearing Replacement??

Hello fellow LR owners,

I have a noise coming from my PS pump and I believe it to be a bearing going bad. Between this and my Tick, my LR sounds like a real piece of junk the the average Joe although she is a really beauty deep inside. Has anyone every replaced this bearing and if so how the heck do you do it and where can you get the bearing from?

Thanks
Rob

Well I guess things are not always what they seem. Here's the story: I went out yesterday to swap serp belts to rule out this squeak being related to what I thought was a PSP bearing going bad. I replaced the serp belt last year and it shows no sign of wear as it now sits. I happened to have a used spare belt in the tool box and decided to toss this on. To my amazement the squeek is now gone. This yet again shows you must start with the simplest piece of the equation first. Almost pulled the trigger on a replacement pump.

30 bucks vs 300 bucks. Good find.
