Default Power steering screw up

I screwed up and put power steering fluid (instead of atf) in my '97 Discovery with 116,000 miles on it. Of course it is now leaking. Is the pump ruined? Any suggestions on what to do now? Thanks in advance for any help.

Default whoops!

How long did you drive it before you realized? STOP driving and flush the system, if you haven't driven much and you might be able to salvage it.

I would flush it out, replacing the fluid with ATF and a bottle of p/s stop leak. After a day or 2 of driving, your leak can stop.

I've been running the truck for about two weeks since I put the fluid in. I'm not sure how long it's been leaking but I just noticed it today.

I don't know how to "flush" the system. I searched for "flush power steering" and didn't find anything that told me how to do this. Am I maybe looking in the wrong place? Thanks for your help.
