If it hasn't been done then you will need to do the 60K along with plug wires and a front drive shaft rebuild to correct the u-joint issue.

thanks, i just called a land rover dealership and they told me the 60k was not done. is the front drive shaft job something i can do myself? i know the spark plugs are a pain on these vehicles too. but i know at least i can do this myself. also, is there a noise or something i can physically look at to see if the u joints are bad or if the front drive shaft for sure needs rebuilding?
thanks

The spark plugs are not hard to do it is the plug wires.
No you cannot just look at the front driveshaft and tell if the u-joints are still good or not.

I live in MN. i talked him down to $7500 too it needs brakes and to do that 60k sevice. so im guessing ill put 1000 into it. but still a pretty good deal dont you guys think??

Also, one last thing. i want to flush the motor and switch to synethetic oil, but im afraid i might find a leak when i do the flush. do u guys still think i should do the change?? what if so what kind of flush should i use?
thanks

Good luck!

General opinion here would be ATF flush. It ain't a Rover if it doesn't leak. And if it leaks, wouldn't you rather know about it and fix it?
