Hey everyone,

I just signed up, I'm not an owner yet, but I have always wanted a discovery, and now have the opportunity to own. An 03 HSE with about 80k. Good friends of my own a small dealership and mostly work with this era discovery. Done my research, but anything I should know? Also, are there any extended warranty programs any of you know of? Thanks for any input

 

Most extended warranties are a waste of money.
At that mileage expect the head gaskets, the crank sensor and front driveshaft to all need attention soon.

 

Check block number on the DII 03. Some had oil pump problems that resulted in an oil pump that destroyed the engine. Also, once you buy one: read the sticky's at the top of each tech section to be sure your maintaining the rover to the best of your abilities!
