The previous owner of the Disco 2 I bought contacted and said they found the spare key. She mailed it to me and while it does work and start the truck, the buttons are missing. Looks like ebay it littered with cheap knockoff replacement shells. Are there any preferred vendors with good shells? If they say Land Rover on them that’s a plus! Thanks.

 

I doubt it matters which one you get. I'm guessing that those ebay sellers change so often that it's not easy to tell who is who. I bought a flip version from ebay that is brand-less and it has lasted a long time. It's much nicer than the old school style key that doesn't fit well in your pocket. I did buy a different flip version recently and it was garbage.

For your key, it looks like all you need is the top cover. You can keep the bottom and your blade.
