price to mount and balance tires?
The reason that you cannot use a impact wrench on LR lug nuts is because they "stretch" and your tire tool will NOT fit over the lug and you will never get them off if/when you have a flat.
I found this out the hard way.
Even when a brake shop removes the tires, when you get a alingment, etc.
So if you want to know if they used air to tighten your lugs...take your tire tool/socket and try and put it over every lug nut.

No need to buy new lugs.
Mine got manged sometime in the previous owner's time with the truck. I now carry a 1 1/8in (i believe that's it) socket (28mm is better, but I couldn't find it) and 1/2 inch breaker bar everywhere. Worked fine when I had a big blowout in Baja last month.

Head to tirerack.com and use the shop locator. By definition these shops will mount your tires, and the website lists them by miles proximity to your zip code... as well as how much they charge for the service. My best choice was a local tir-o-rama that did it for almost nothing, stripped the lug nut caps off my D2 with the wrong size socket (replaced them kindly), and had no issues mounting old tires. u must be from kalifornia[8D]
Drop an extra $20 on your cuz just for the effort! That's a privilege you'll not want to abuse!

well i got it done... it was a small indy shop... cost me 125 to have it done but the guy said it was a big PIA... when i did my lift kit i had some serious issues with the metal covers on my lugnuts so a couple weeks ago i went to town on them with a hammer and chisel and screwdriver and removed the metal caps so now i just have the nuts themselves on there... now i just have to sort out a couple clearance/rubbing issues this weekend and we're good... i will try to post up a pic or two later... and no i dont live in california... southern louisiana...
