problem with emergency brake

Default problem with emergency brake
can anyone help:
i was driving a few months ago and noticed that, while i was driving my emergency brake light went offi pulled over andshut off the car. when i turned it back on thelighthad gone away but nowwhen i drivefor a while ( about 1 hour) the light comes on. does anyoneknow what's happening to my emergency brake system.

Most likely just need to adjust the E-Brake assembly so it won't keep tripping the switch.

I have been noticing a similar problem with an intermittent E Brake light on the dash. How do I go about adjusting the assembly?

If I am not mistaken, there should be a switch under the console where the e-brake is mounted to the floor.
