Default Problems with ACE when converting to coils from SLS

Hey guys, my '99 has both ACE & SLS. I love the ACE system and it is working great with no problems, but i've got another leak in the SLS (not the bags this time, still tracking down) and I'm looking to convert to coils.

I've talked with Rovers North because their website said the conversion kit was not compatible w/ vehicles with ACE and they said converting to coils will mess up my ACE system or not function properly and that I would need to disconnect some/all of the ACE components.

Can anyone verify this or further explain?

I've compared the diagrams in the RAVE for vehicles with ACE/SLS and ACE/no SLS and it appears the components (actuator, short arm, long arm) are the exact same in size/location and have no relation to the coils/air springs.

Does anyone have ACE and NOT SLS? Has anyone with ACE & SLS converted to coils with any input or problems?

Thanks.

Default Some feedback - not trying to bash anyone

Another source stated what I thought, that the ACE system is not effected in the least and is irrelevant in its function to the SLS system.

A quick glance at the 2 diagrams in the Rave support this info as well.
If anyone knows differently, please say so and why, but I will be finding out soon myself!

Default Problems with ACE when converting to coils from SLS

My Disco alraeady had the conversion to coils done when I purchased it. I also have ACE and don't have any problems with the ACE due to the coil conversion. I just need to get the air pump reprogrammed so it doesn't wear down the battery when I don't drive it for a couple days.

You can more simply just pull the fuse(s?) for the compressor, or take off the box (2 screws) and take out the solenoids so the compressor doesn't run.
But either way, if you want the dash light to go out (without yanking the bulb) then I believe you need it re-programmed with Testbook.

I won't be paying anyone to hook it up to Testbook so I will know for sure soon!
