Problems with Atlantic British HUBs?
Im in the process of changing rear rotors and brake pads and I discovered I have had a leak from the right rear hub. The pads and caliper are pretty gummed up so it looks as if it has been on going for some time. I replaced the hub back in the summer of 2012 with a brittpart one from Atlantic British. After I installed it it began leaking again after about 100 miles and was warrantied by AB. Both times I replaced the O ring. Are these Hubs just junk? Now its been 2 years and maybe 15k miles and its leaking like a sieve, I would think a $400 part would be a bit better. I cant 100% rule out O ring but it looked dry around outside of O ring when I pulled hub but, with gear oil gunk all over place I cant really pinpoint. Has others had such constant leaks from the hub? Am I missing something here? I did check diff vent and it was clear any other thoughts?
Thanks
Thanks
But the seal around the bearing in the hub can fail then you end up with gear oil washing out the bearing grease. Does RN sell oem O rings? Both times I changed O rings I used the aftermarket ones from AB
