Default prop shaft seal removal

Is there a special way to remove the rear prop shaft seal or just beat it out?

If you're talking about the rear pinion seal, a seal puller will be your friend. It will render the old seal unusable to be ready with a fresh one.

You also need a special tool to remove the flange. Or have you already gotten the flange off?

Thanks guys. I was a day late to see this. Beat the @#$% out of the seal without hurting the shaft and it finally came out. Which part is the flange? I replaced the flex joint, seal and U joint.
